Say hello to our General Manager, Matt Schaap! Living in this area with his family since 2004, this young chap has had a passion for Coffee and all things Cafe since he first step foot in one!
“My passion for coffee I owe to my mom who has always seen coffee as more than just a caffeine kick. It's about taking a moment to yourself each day, it's about the people you are with and memories shared. Coffee is sacred, social, and it's different for everyone of us. But what I love is that coffee is for everyone!”
Since then, he has worked his way up through the ranks and proven himself to be the most dedicated barista in the area, passionate about supporting local and delivering quality products and service! He’s an all round incredible guy (despite his terrible dad jokes) and is quickly becoming a staple in our community. He can’t wait to see all your familiar faces as well as some new ones! Kate Hartberg- Manager -(pictured Right)
If you’ve seen this face around town, you’ve probably also noticed she has a weird accent? Meet Kate Hartberg our co-manager from down-under mate! Originally from Gold Coast, Australia this Aussie girl moved to Canada solo at age 19 and has lived in some of Canada’s most desired spots like Banff, AB and Vancouver Island! Since moving to this area in 2016 with local fiancé, Justin McIntaggart, Kate has received her permanent residency and doesn’t plan on leaving any time soon (except to visit family and friends of course)
“Australia’s cafe scene is something else! After spending several years in Canada and working in the hospitality industry, I will admit it is something I’ve missed A LOT! If you know, you know; I’ve definitely always dreamed of bringing a little taste of Aus to my second home and how exciting it is to finally be able to do so!”
